Joshua "Josh" Aaron Underwood, 43, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on February 21, 2024, leaving behind a profound impact of love, laughter, and authenticity. Born on January 14, 1981, in White County, IN, Josh was a vibrant soul known for his genuine character.

Josh had a natural affinity for creation and the outdoors. Whether it was renovating homes or sculpting landscapes, he found joy in bringing beauty to the world around him. His hands were his tools, and he used them to shape the world around him.

Beyond his talents, Josh radiated loyalty and deep affection for his chosen family. To Josh, friends were more than just acquaintances. His magnetic personality filled every room with warmth, and his presence was a constant source of joy.

Fearlessly authentic, Josh lived life on his own terms, embracing his true self without apology. He believed in speaking his mind and wearing his heart on his sleeve, knowing that life was too short for anything less than honesty.

Josh leaves behind his husband, Christopher Underwood; his mother, Jennifer (Bob) Jordan, his  sister, Jessica (Joshua) Tarr, and a host of beloved friends, including Zac Coleman, Alix Michelfelder, Betsy Tudor, Morgan Stephens, Timothy Winkle, Damon Laster, Kyle Batson, Kyle Myers, and Emily Francis. Additionally, Josh leaves behind numerous nieces and nephews who were touched by his warmth and affection.

In the tapestry of life, Josh's thread may have been cut short, but the memory of his spirit lives on in the hearts of all who knew him. His laughter fills our memories and his love transcends the boundaries of time and space.
