Joshua “Josh” Lane Fields, 45, of Indianapolis, formerly of Cushing, Oklahoma, passed away on February 21, 2025.
Born in Cushing, OK, on November 3, 1979, to Timothy Fields and Debra (Parks) Driggs, Josh had a natural gift for making people laugh. He had a wit and charm that could rival Robin Williams, lighting up any room with his humor and charisma. He had a big heart, always looking out for others and eager to lend a hand whenever he could.
Josh was known for his envy-inducing curls and his love of all things red. A true comfort food connoisseur, he had a deep appreciation for pizza and mac & cheese—though nothing could top his mom’s homemade pizza pockets.
A talented writer, Josh had a way with words and spent his younger years crafting detailed, imaginative short stories. He also had a deep love for hard rock, cranking up ACDC and Metallica whenever he had the chance.
Josh is survived by his mother, Debbie Driggs; his siblings, Tony Fields, Amber Meals, and Louvenia Fields; his aunts and uncles, Jimmy Parks, Carol Rutledge, Anita Parks, and Tina Armstrong; and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in passing by his father, Timothy Fields.
