Joseph "Joe" David Martin Sr

Joseph "Joe" David Martin Sr., 47, departed from this world on August 31, 2023. He was born on March 11, 1976, in Wisconsin. Joe's journey through life was marked by his vibrant personality and a heart full of love for his family and friends.

Joe worked in construction, but his true vocation was spreading joy and laughter. He was renowned for his Dad jokes and a natural talent for making people laugh. Joe had an infectious sense of humor that brightened the lives of those around him. He had a larger-than-life personality that made every interaction with him memorable.

In his leisure time, Joe found solace in the simple pleasures of life. He loved fishing, the rhythm of music, and the excitement of football games, particularly when cheering on his favorite team, the Colts. Joe had an adventurous spirit and enjoyed exploring new places during long drives.

Above all, Joe treasured his family and friends. He had a heart full of love to give and considered many of his friends as part of his extended family. To those close to him, Joe was more than just a friend; he was like a father, always there to offer support, laughter, and wisdom.

Joe leaves behind a lasting legacy through his children: Kylia Martin, Jennifer Martin, Anthony Martin; goddaughter Mariah Anderson; stepchildren Haylee Eversole, and Jared Eversole. His memory will be cherished by his parents, David and Jeri Martin, and John Alsup, as well as his siblings, Jessica, Joanna, Daniel, and John.

Joe's memory is a beacon of laughter and love that will forever warm the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Although he is reunited with his son, Joseph Martin Jr., and siblings Jennifer and Jimmy in the next life, his spirit lives on in the laughter and cherished memories he left behind.

Funeral services for Joe will be 1 PM, Monday, September 18, 2023 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 11 AM until the hour of service. Burial will follow at New Crown Cemetery.
