John David Stevens

John David Stevens, 45, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 19, 2022.

John was born in Indianapolis, IN on November 18, 1975 to Susan (Greenwell) Stevens. He worked was exceptionally handy, and enjoyed being a flooring technician more than any other job. He was ornery and stubborn, and he did everything his own way.  You couldn't tell John anything, he had his own mind. John loved his dogs and cats and he could be very sweet when it suited him.  He was a wonderful carpenter and could build anything out of wood he set his mind to.  He a huge heart that he showed to a select few, and regardless he always tried to be the best father he could. 

John is survived by his wife, Desiree; his mom Susan Stevens; his children Haileigh (Stevens) Townsend and Jackson (Stevens) Townsend; his step children Maddisyn, Kyle, Mary, Arabella, and Kaden; his grandchild Armiaha; his dog Bro, his cat Royalty; and many friends.

John is preceded in passing by his brother, Mark Stevens whom he was exceptionally close with; and his dog Jasmine.

Services for John will be 7 PM, Friday, April 29, 2022 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be form 3 PM until the hour of service.
