John Victor Bennett

John Victor Bennett, 71, passed away on Wednesday, September 29, 2021.

John was born on November 25, 1949 in Indianapolis, IN to Victor Emerald and Naomi Ruth (Hatfield) Bennett.  Before retiring John was a production worker. He was an incredibly hard worker, something he worked to instill in his children.  John was a dedicated family man, he was completely devoted to his wife of 52 years, Virginia (Mullinax) Bennett and a great father.  He loved children and any child near him he tried to spoil.  He was so excited to be a grandpa and then a great-grandpa, and he bragged about this fact as often as he could.  He loved dogs and at one point had one trained to bring him refreshments so he didn't have to get out of his seat.  John never met a stranger, he was incredibly personable and drew people to him.  He will be missed. 

John is survived by his wife, Virginia "Ginny" Bennett; his children John Bennett and Charlotte Trent; his grandchildren Tracy, Jessica, Marie, Stephan, and Christopher; his brothers Donald Bennett and David Bennett; his sister Ethelmae Wilkinson; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his Father Victor; Mother Naomi; Sisters Yvonne and Judyann; and his Brother Mark.

Friends and family are invited to gather from 2-4 PM on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services to celebrate John's life.
