Joan Linda (Newsom) Campbell

Joan Linda Campbell, 72, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 28, 2018.

Joan was born on July 8, 1945 in Indianapolis, IN to Edward and Myrtle (Kinnett) Newsom.   After graduating from Arsenal Technical High School in 1964 she worked as a Registrar for the Emergency Department for Community Hospitals for many years until retiring.  She was a woman of faith, and as such a lifetime member of Acton United Methodist Church.  She also had her cosmetology license.  Joan was very family orientated, and would do anything for her family that was in her power to do.  She had a big heart and loved fiercly.

Joan is survived by her sons Ronald S. Jones and Brian E. Jones; her daugher Kelli G. Beatty; step-daughters Jennifer Lynn (Scott) Brooks and Lisa Marie Campbell (Shirayla Glover): her brothers Adrian E Newsom and Dale R Newsom; her sister Marlyn Barnard; and her grandchildren Amanda Nicole Jones; Dakota Allen Beatty; and Hannah Marie Stookey.

Joan is preceded in passing by her husband James Lee Cambell; and her parents Edward and Myrtle Newsom. 

Funeral Services for Joan will be noon, Saturday, May 5, 2018 at Acton United Methodist Church. Visitations will be from 4-8PM Friday, May 4, 2018 and from 10am-12PM Saturday, May 5, 2018 at the church.  Burial will follow at West Lawn Cemetery in Hagerstown, IN.
