Jesse Walker, Jr.

Jessie Walker, Jr., 86, departed this life on April 26, 2026, in Indianapolis.

He was born June 5, 1939, in Colombus, Georgia, to the late Jessie & Dollie (Bettis) Walker, Sr.  Jessie eventually moved to Indianapolis, where he made his home. He loved fishing, enjoyed watching westerns, and singing especially with different groups from his neighborhood. Jessie was a quiet man yet he touched so many lives and will fondly be remembered by so many people.

Jessie leaves to cherish his memory, two sons, Thomas & Jerry; sister and best friend, Sadie Payne; nephew, Gregory Brown; niece, Patricia Hawkins; a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends. He was preceded in death by his children, Bobbie & Mary; and brother, Willie Brown.

A Celebration of Life will be hosted at Noon, May 12, 2026,  at Rhema Church of the Living God, 3206 N. Colorado Avenue, Indianapolis, IN 46218, with Pastor Hubbard officiating.

Arrangements were entrusted to Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services.
