Jesse Wayne Hamilton

Jesse Wayne Hamilton, 62, of Linton, passed away on May 20, 2025.

Jesse was born in Martinsville, IN on May 31, 1962 to Freeman Hamilton and Caroline Lane.

Jesse was a true character—funny, quick-witted, and always able to make people laugh. He had a great sense of humor and a big personality. Every Monday night, you could find him in his chair, fully absorbed in wrestling, with Cody Rhodes and Drew McIntyre among his favorites. He also loved his morning cup of coffee and made it a daily ritual.

Family was everything to Jesse. Becoming a grandpa brought him so much joy, and when he became a great-grandpa, his heart grew even fuller. He loved spending time with his kids, grandkids, and great-grandkids and made sure they knew how much they meant to him.

He will be remembered for his warmth, humor, and love of family—and he will be deeply missed.

Jesse is survived by his children Nicole Wright, Crystal Hamilton, Jesse Hamilton, Charles Hamilton, Zackary Hamilton, and Delaney Hamilton; grandchildren Lateara Bryan, Brandon Bryan, Jacob Bryan, Emily Bryan, Ethen Hamilton, Caroline Hamilton, Bruce Hamilton, Raya Hamilton, and Kash Hamilton; siblings Bennie Hamilton and Doloras Miller; and many great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

He is preceded in passing by his father Freeman Hamilton; mother Caroline Lane; and siblings Tonja Hicks and James Hamilton.

Visitation for Jesse is from 12 PM - 2 PM, Wednesday, May 28, 2025 at Fairview Cemetery, Linton, IN. Funeral Services will start at 2 PM.
