Janice "Lynne" L Smith

Janice “Lynne” L. Smith, 69, of Indianapolis, formerly of Augusta, Georgia, passed away on February 28, 2025.

Lynne was born in Georgia on July 15, 1955, to Melton Smith and Lazalia (Ingram) Stacks. She was one of the most generous people you could meet, always willing to help anyone in need. If she had it to give, she gave it—whether it was her last dollar or the shirt off her back. She was fiercely loyal to her family and never gave up on the people she cared about.

She had a soft spot for animals, especially her cat, Hubbles. When he got sick, she was determined to nurse him back to health, and she did.

Lynne is survived by her children, Angela, Tommy, Melissa, and AJ; her grandchildren, Jeremy, Jessalynne, Destinee, Shyanne, Ashlie, Chelsea, Robbie, Allen, and Lokiah; her siblings, Terry, Doug, Dorine, Rhonda, and Eddie; her cat, Hubbles; 8 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in passing by her son Robbie; her sister, Doris.
