James "Jimmy" Allen Collins, 63, of Morgantown, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away on Saturday, December 28, 2019.
Jimmy was born in Indianapolis, IN on September 21, 1956 to Charles and Shirley (Maddox) Collins. He was a semi-driver for 40 years, a job he took great pride in. He was a straight-forward guy, and if he didn't like you, you knew. But if he loved you, he never let you forget it. Jimmy liked fishing and deer hunting, a pastime he managed to pass down to most of his children. He loved his family, and adored his grandchildren. He will be greatly missed by all fortunate enough to love him.
Jimmy is survived by his love of over 40 years, Carolyn (Blake) Collins; his children James Collins Jr. Elizabeth Collins, Jamie Scherer, Eric Collins, James Blake, Tammy Blake, David Blake, Walter Blake, Laura Coy, and Brenda Williams; and numerous children and great-grandchildren.
Jimmy is preceded in passing by his parents, Charles and Shirley Collins, his daughter Shirley Ward Collins; his brothers Mike Collins and Randy Collins; his Nephew John Jared; and his best friend Randal Brewer.
Services for Jimmy are 11AM, Wednesday, January 8, 2020 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 4-7 PM, Tuesday, January 7, at the funeral home. Burial will follow Wednesday's services at Washington Park East.
