James “Jimmy” Lee Bellomy, 51, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 2, 2025.
Born on October 19, 1973, in Indianapolis, IN, to Ray and Frances (Boster) Bellomy, Jimmy was a tough, hardworking man who always did what needed to be done for his family. He had an unshakable work ethic and wasn’t afraid to get his hands dirty. He was the kind of guy you could count on—whether it was to fix something, lend a hand, or just be there when you needed him.
Jimmy had a big personality and made friends everywhere he went. He was social, quick with a joke, and always up for a good time. He loved wrestling, with Sting being his all-time favorite, and he knew his country music—George Strait and George Jones were at the top of his playlist. He enjoyed working on cars, building things, and shooting pool, always keeping busy with something.
Most of all, Jimmy was a family man. His kids and grandkids were his world, and he made sure they knew it. He had a soft side when it came to them, even if he tried to act tough. His kids liked to joke that they got their emotions from him—he was the “crybaby tree” they all fell from. He will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his girlfriend, Heather; his children, Meranda, Mariah, Madison, and James; his grandchildren, Noah, Colton, Aivah, Davi, and Kyngstonn; his siblings, Tommy, Connie, Cleta, and Elizabeth; and a whole lot of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Jimmy was preceded in passing by his parents, Ray and Frances Bellomy; his twin children, Mikayla and Joshua; and his siblings, Lonnie, Billy, Loretta, and Sandy.
