James Thompson Sr

James Curtis Thompson Sr, 58, of Indianapolis, passed away on Wednesday January 5, 2022.

James was born in Indianapolis, IN on November 3, 1963 to Carlos Cornell Thompson and Nancy (Capps) Minton.  After graduating High School he went on to get his degree in Engineering.  James enjoyed camping.  He was a big Nascar and Colts fan.  You always knew James was watching the Colts because you could hear him from rooms away cheering for his team.  He was very smart, especially with mechanical things.  He was very handsome and charming in his younger years.  He was a good-hearted man who would give you the shirt off his back if you asked.

James is survived by his mother Nancy Minton; his kids Amanda Thompson, James Thompson Jr; and Aaron Thompson; his siblings Nancy Strange, Carlos Thompson, and Jennifer Kelley; several grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

James is preceded in passing by his father Carlos Thompson.

Services for James will be 5 PM, Saturday, January 22, 2022 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 2 PM until the hour of service.
