Jack Wayne King Jr, 52, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 17, 2025.
Jack was born in Indianapolis, IN on June 16, 1972 to Jack Sr and Gay Nell (Asher) King. He worked hard to become a master carpenter and the king of drywall, even winning competitions proving his prowess. Jack had no enemies, he was a very likeable guy with the unique gift to make anyone smile. He was always quick with a joke, and he was forever teasing everyone, but especially his daughters. Even when it came to serious matters, he was creative and had fun with it.
Jack was all about the outdoors, often taking his girls camping and fishing. He had a huge heart and was forever smuggling dogs and cats into the house to care for. He was loyal and generous, and when it came to his family he moved heaven and earth to make things happen for them. He loved doting on his wife with gifts and dinners and he was his family’s biggest cheerleader; he was rooting for everyone. Jack was the type of man to give his last dollar if you needed it.
When Jack became a grandpa he wept tears of joy and was beyond delighted. He loved each grandchild so much, he was so proud to be a grandfather and have a whole new generation to love on. The world is less bright with his passing, and he will be greatly missed.
Jack is survived by the love of his life, his wife Angela King; his daughters Robin (James), Jessie (Mario), and Stevie (Zack); son Joesph Willis; his father Jack King Sr; his sister Angela Roof; his brother James “JD” King; mother-in-law Frances McDonald; 11 grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and countless extended family members and friends.
Jack is preceded in passing by his mother Gay Nell King; his daughter Cheyenne King; sister Nicole McDonald; father-in-law Michael McDonald; and 3 of his beloved dogs that his daughters maintain he loved more than them, Monkey, Pearl, and Ralph.
