Ira Lee Cummins

Ira Lee Cummins, 63, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 1, 2022.

Ira was born in Indianapolis, IN on March 10, 1958 to Leroy and Alice Louise (Smith) Cummins.  After proudly serving in the army, he became a baker. He was an avid hunter who loved being outdoors.  He enjoyed fishing as well.  He was always looking forward, never one to dwell on the past.  When Ira wanted something, he made it happen and wasn't afraid of some hard work.  He was a doting Husband, a great dad, an amazing grandpa/great-grandpa, and one of the best men you could hope to meet. 

Ira is survived by his wife Evelyn Cummins; his kids Tara Privee and Jenny Poirier; his stepkids Shelia Hardcastle, Melissa Gill, and Stella Graham; his grand kids Zachary Privee, Benjamin Privee, Owen Privee, Bailey Poirier, Makenna Poirier, Jacob Poirier, Heather Neal, Santanah Hardcastle, Dalton Hardcastle, Anabel Hardcastle, Brandon Gill, Cheyenne Gill, Austin Gill, and Tiffany Bratton; great-grandkids Benjamin Taylor, Christopher Moss, Joseph Graham, Lynyx Bratten, Chloey Gill, Promise Rogers, James Rogers, Serenity Hardcastle, Aubrey Neal, and Brylyn Hardcastle; and his siblings Kathy Ault, Dorothy Vise, Betty Cummins, and William Cummins.

Ira is preceded in passing by his father Leroy Cummins; his mother Alice Louise (Smith); his sister Rebecca Wardwell; and grandkids Chasity Gill, James Graham Jr, Thomas Boster Jr, and Christopher Hardcastle Jr.

Services for Ira will be 5 PM, Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 2 PM until the hour of service.
