Obituary
Ina Ann McCoy, 86, of Indianapolis, formerly of Somerset, KY, passed away on Sunday, September 11, 2022.
Ina was born in Somerset, KY on June 30, 1936 to Edgar and Nellie (Rogers) Ping. Ina was devoted to her family and dedicated her life to being a homemaker. She was energetic and outgoing. Ina was an open-hearted person whom would give you the shirt off her back if you needed it. She cared more about others than herself, and she was beloved by her community. Her weak spot was tomatoes and she never could let one pass her by.
Ina is survived by her children Marsha (Roger) Martin, Mark McCoy, Bill (Marci) McCoy, Steve (Annie Wilson) McCoy, and Victor McCoy; her brother James (Janie) Ping; 7 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ina is preceded in passing by her parents Edgar and Nellie Ping; her husband Stanly McCoy; and her siblings Pearly, Melvin, and Harlan.
Funeral Services for Ina will be 1 PM, Thursday, September 15, 2022 at McMurtrey Funeral Home, 2232 Summer Shade Rd, Summer Shade, KY 42166. Visitation will be from 10 AM until the hour of service. Burial will follow funeral services at Union #2 Cemetery in Nobob, KY.
