Grace Earl Thomas Mugg Haltom

Grace Earl Thomas Mugg Haltom, beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, and
sister was born in rural Madison County, Florida to Artie Drew Thomas and Annie
May Phillips on November 24, 1934.

She is survived by her sister Edie, three of
her five children, Juanita, Phillip and Wanda. Phyllis and John passed in
childhood. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jamia, Gaia, Michael and
Tisha, as well as her great grandchildren, Hannah, Emerson, Matthew, Andrew, and
Margarita, Dominic, and Addison.

Grace worked for the switchboard system in the early 1960's in Cloverdale, IN
and retired from IU Methodist doing the same some 40 years later.
She sang beautifully and was often asked to join in song with local musicians,
including Jimmy McDaniels. She loved laughing, dancing, canning, collecting and
always helped others, friends and strangers alike.
Grace was feisty, stubborn and a survivor who proudly marched through the
hardest of times. One of her proudest moments was earning her high school
diploma in her later years.
