Gary Wayne Underwood

Gary Wayne Underwood 46, was born in Indianapolis, IN on December 29, 1975, to Gary Underwood Sr and Linda (Rutherford) Jarvis.  Gary was a friendly person with a heart of gold. He would do anything at the drop of time for anyone. He had a notorious sweet tooth, Now and Laters and Jolly Ranchers being his favorite. He was always down for Taco Bell. 

Gary loved his grandkids and kids very much. His family was so important to him, he adored them. His eldest grandson Alonzo wanted people to know how much he loved him, and he was his favorite, bestest papaw in the world. Gary was especially close with his mother, and though he was taken far too soon, comfort can be found in that he is reunited with her in the Kingdom of Heaven, at peace in the arms of the angels.

Gary is survived by his children Ashley, Courtney, Brianna, Kaydence, Ashtyn, Heaven and Zay; grandchildren Alonzo, Jaziel, Adelynn, Lillian, Vincent, Tanner, Breestan, Nevaeh, Aaliyah and Greyson; his beloved ex-wife Nicky Raimondi; his wife Laura Underwood; sisters Nancy, Felicia, Mae and Lynn; dogs Mia and Gizmo; and many nieces and nephews.

Gary is preceded in passing by his mother Linda Jarvis and his father Gary Underwood Sr.

Gary was always a mama's boy, and he loved her dearly. He was also a wonderful brother and a protector of his mother, his sisters, and his daughters. Your baby sister Felicia wanted to tell you to please hold mom tight for me and never let her go again. Tell her that I miss her, but most of all bub, tell her that I love her so much, and that I will always love her, always and forever.

Services for Gary will be 12 PM, Wednesday, May 11, 2022 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Tuesday, May 10 at the funeral home.
