Gary Shawn "Gene" Belcher

Gary Shawn "Gene" Belcher, 44, of Brazil, IN, formerly of Indianapolis, passed on January 14, 2023.

Gary was born in Indianapolis, IN on April 9, 1978 to Gary Belcher and Terri (McBride) McNeely.  Gary was a hard worker, he worked more than he relaxed.  He enjoyed peaceful hobbies like fishing and sitting by a fire.  While he could be strict, he also was a fun dad. He was always doing stuff with his kids and telling them "don't tell mom!", like taking his son when he was 16 to get his first tattoo.  Gary loved being a dad, and then when the grandbabies came along he loved that even more. He was always shopping for them, wanting to spoil them rotten. 

Gary is survived by his children Kodie and Kristin; his grandchildren Heavyn and Kynleigh; his sister Crystal; the mother of his children Stacy; and several nieces and nephews.

Gary is preceded in passing by his father Gary Belcher; his mother Terri McNeely; and his sister Shana.
