Floyd Cade Jr, 87, of Indianapolis, formerly of Illinois, passed away on September 22, 2021.
Floyd was born in Peoria, IL on July 4, 1934 to Floyd Sr and Zeda Fay (Chestnut) Cade. He was very handy and worked with cars for many years. His work ethic was unparalleled, he was very hard working and always doing something. He would build stuff for his kids. He had a big heart and didn't bat an eye at raising 12 kids. Floyd was always happy, always joking around. He was a caring husband and his family was very important to him. Nothing brought him as much joy as his grandchildren, or "Pawpaw's tids" as he called them. He was a coffee addict, and in the hospital kept telling the nurses "all I need is a cup of coffee and I'm good."
Floyd is survived by his wife of 50 years, Sally; his children Albert, Cindy, Zeda, Laura, Christopher, Marty, Theresa, Floyd III, and Diana; his mother Zeda; and too many grandchildren/great-grandchildren to count, let alone name.
Floyd is preceded in passing by his sons Teddy and Michael; his daughter Jackie; his dad Floyd Sr; his brothers David and Lovell; and his sister Shirley.
