Evelyn Demires (Taylor) Cummins

Evelyn Cummins, 67, of Indianapolis, passed away on Monday, October 31, 2022.

Evelyn Demires Cummins was born on May 28th 1955 to Stella and Harold Taylor. She was the oldest of five children. She married Gary Gill whom she shares three daughters with. She shared a big part of her life with Charlie Trammell who had two children she helped raise. Later in life she married her soulmate Ira Cummins whom she shared 12 great grandchildren with. Evelyn loved kids, she even helped raise her nieces and nephews along with her kids, grandkids, friends’ and anyone else who ended up at her house.

Evelyn was an easygoing, loving person whom loved talking to anyone. She was a great mother to her three amazing daughters and welcomed anyone who came into her life. She loved her mom and siblings, focusing a lot on Judy. Evelyn loved being a mother but found her true calling when she became a grandmother; giving up all of her free time to her grandchildren and great grandchildren, even taking them to work with her just so she could spend more time with them.

Evelyn enjoyed many things in her life like driving around, cooking, shopping, and her family.

In death she joins her father Harold Taylor; her brothers Harold and Idron Taylor; her beloved grandchildren Chastity Gill, Thomas Gill Jr, Christopher Hardcastle Jr, and James Graham Jr; and the men she spent her life with Ira Cummins, Charlie Trammel, and Gary Gill.

Evelyn leaves behind her mother Stella Taylor; her sisters Judy Taylor and Joyce Greer; her children Sheila and Chris Hardcastle, Melissa Gill and Jeff Curtis, Stella Graham and Anthony McIntosh; stepchildren Barbie Gibson, Chris Trammell; her grandchildren Tiffany and Robert Bratton, Heather, Santana, Dalton and Anabel Hardcastle, Brandon, Cheyenne and Austin Gill, Dylan and Zach Boster; and her great grandchildren Benjamin, Christopher, Joseph, Ceara, Vincent, Lynyx, Serenity, Aubrey, Sophia Choley, Promise, Brylynn and James; and many more family and friends.

Saturday, November 12, 2022 Evelyn’s family will have a memorial cookout celebration for family and friends. Contact her children through Facebook Messenger for more information.
