Evan Scott Lucas

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Evan Scott Lucas on January 24th, 2025 at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital in Indiana. He was the son of Erik Lucas and Janel Lucas, born on September 9th, 1989. 

Evan is survived by his loving wife, Emily Lucas, and precious child, Emmett Lucas. Also surviving are his siblings: brothers Daniel Golden, and Ezra Lucas, and sister Makayla. He is survived by his two nieces Olivia and Sophia Golden and one nephew Isaac Dixon, as well as his sister-in-law, several grandparents, aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. 

He was preceded in death by his grandfather Michael Lucas, and daughter Elizabeth Lucas. 

Evan graduated Illini Central High School in 2009. He moved to Indiana in 2016, where he married Emily and truly started his life. He was a loving and devoted husband, always putting his family first. Throughout his life, Evan had a passion for hunting and fishing, finding peace and solace connecting with the beauty of the great outdoors. He was a kind and giving individual and found great pride in making those around him happy. 

Evan’s story touched those in the lives of all that knew him, and his memory will forever be cherished by his family and friends. 

A celebration of life will be announced at a later time for those to gather and share their fond memories of Evan.
