Eugene Francis Mader

Eugene Francis Mader (68) of Greenfield, Indiana passed away on February 17, 2024.

Gene was born to Eugene and Frances Ley Mader on June 15, 1955 in Indianapolis, IN. He graduated from Scecina Memorial High School in 1973 and attended night school at IUPUI to obtain his bachelor's in mechanical engineering. Gene worked at Allison's Transmission for the majority of his career as a tool and die maker and Wire EDM Operator.

Gene is survived by his daughter Shelby Mader, sister Roseanne (Tom) Huckleberry, sister Catherine Odle, brother Gerald (Eileen) Mader, and 13 nieces and nephews.

Gene was predeceased by his parents Eugene Sr and Frances Mader, and his sisters Jeanette Hall and Marianne Mader, S.P.

Gene enjoyed many hobbies such as photography, playing harmonica, dirt biking, movies, and lamp making. He had a huge heart and cared deeply for his animals. He was an extremely loving and devoted father and he will be missed tremendously.

Memorial mass to be held at St Michael's Catholic Church in Greenfield, IN on February 29th at 10am. Celebration of Life date TBD.
