Eric M.F. Pease, 38, of Indianapolis, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, at Eskenazi Hospital.
Eric was born on June 27, 1987 to his parents Gregory and Teresa (Wright) Pease. He is survived by his parents, his children; Mykel, Kalen, and Korbyn Pease, his siblings; Gregg (Marissa) Pease and Tabatha (Daniel) Foust, and extended family and cherished friends.
He is preceded in death by his Grandparents; Jeanie Wright, Herbert Wright, and Norval Pease.
Eric was a proud alumnus of Decatur Central High School. After graduating in 2007, he dedicated the next two decades to the tire repair industry, proudly following in his father’s footsteps. Alongside his father and brother, he helped launch the family business, Pease Tires. Later, he continued his career with several other respected companies including Pomps Tire, Bauer Built, Goodyear/Wingfoot, and Best One of Indy. Known as “Peasey” to many, Eric earned a stellar reputation for his craftsmanship and work ethic—he was widely considered one of the best in the trade. Above all, Eric was a loving Father to his three children: Mykel, Kalen, and Korbyn. He had a deep passion for heavy metal music and enjoyed playing guitar, going on hikes, camping, and fishing. He had a creative flair and loved personalizing everything with his favorite logos, “Peasey” and “Mushroomhead.”
Eric lit up every room he entered. He was the life of the party—ensuring those around him were smiling and having a good time. His sharp wit, sense of humor, and generous heart left a mark on everyone he met.
The family will receive friends at Fountain Square Mortuary on July 15, between 3-7 PM. A celebration of Eric’s life will be held at a later date.
