Eric Wayne Cleveland

Eric Wayne Cleveland, 53, passed away July 13, 2026 surrounded by his loving family.

Eric was a man of few words with a signature growl that relayed his exact thoughts. He was simple in not wanting materialistic things, yet rich in the love and care he poured into his family. His favorite memories of his childhood were spending time on the front porch with his grandfather. We are sure that his grandchildren's cherished memories will be of spending time with him whether fishing or being spoiled. 

Eric is survived by his loving wife, Christina Cleveland; children, Zachary (Alexis) Cleveland, Eric (Shawnna) Cleveland, Jr., Hayden (Madison) Cleveland, and Stephanie (Derek) Lebo; grandchildren, Joshua, Faith, Kinan, Liliana, and Madilyn; mother, Evelyn (Howell) Cleveland; siblings, Cheryl Miller and James (Crystal) Suits; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Suits; sister, Teresa Suits; and brother-in-law, Doug Miller. 

A Celebration of Life will be at 5:00 pm Monday, July 20, at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm until the time of services. 

The family would like to extend their gratitude to Miller's Merry Manor of Mooresville and Gentiva Hospice, for the care and kindness they gave Eric.
