In Loving Memory of Ellen Fay Murphy
Ellen Fay Murphy, 70, passed away peacefully on March 3, 2026, with her family by her side. She was born on January 20, 1956, in Indiana and spent her life creating a home centered around love, laughter, and faith.
Ellen was the heart of her family — sweet, funny, sassy, strong, kind, and always joyful. Her laughter was contagious, her hugs were warm, and her presence brought comfort to everyone around her. She had a beautiful spirit and made all who met her feel welcomed and loved.
She enjoyed painting, singing, playing cards, and attending church. Her faith was an important part of her life and a source of strength through both joyful moments and life’s challenges.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Jackie Murphy; her daughters Veronica, Misty (Harold), Monica (Martin), Jessica (Juan), and Jillian (Hugo).
She was a proud and loving grandmother to Krista, Jackie, Kara, Codey, Audrie, Kelsey, Ethan, Kaylee, Jasmine, Olivia, Victoria, Kevin, Zella, Diego, Carlos, and Isabella.
Her legacy continues through her great-grandchildren: CJ, Jetson, Jackie Jr., Walker, Tobias, Scarlett, Kadey, Malcolm, and one on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Andy and Helen Cantrell, and her siblings Nancy, George, Gordon, Libby, Mark, and Becky.
Above all else, Ellen loved her family deeply. She leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories, laughter-filled gatherings, songs sung from the heart, and a love that will continue to guide those who knew her. Her love was steady, her spirit was strong, and her memory will live on forever.
Family and friends are welcome to visit on Wednesday, March 11, 2026 from 1:00 PM until the hour of the service at 3:00 PM.
She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
