Edna "Mickie" Maxine Warren

Edna “Mickie” Maxine Warren, 60, of Indianapolis, passed away on October 16, 2024. Born on January 17, 1964, in Indianapolis to Clyde Russell Warren and Ruby Diane Perry, Mickie lived a simple, hardworking life.

Mickie held several jobs over the years, but her favorite by far was being a waitress at the bar a longtime friend’s mom owned. She had a strong work ethic and always did the best she could with what she had. Whether at work or at home, she didn’t shy away from hard work and kept going, even when life got tough.

When she wasn’t working, Mickie liked to relax with a cup of coffee and a cigarette, enjoying the small moments of peace. She was such a dedicated fan of soap operas at one point she  named her children after characters from her favorite shows. She often found joy in the simple pleasures.

Mickie was loved by her family and will be missed by those who knew her. She didn’t need to be flashy or loud to leave an impact—her presence in their lives was enough.

Mickie is survived by her children, Ashley and Rusty (Courtney); step-grandchildren, Lily, Zoey, Alice, and Brendon; her sister, Dawn; and her nieces and nephews, Brittany, Dillon, Kimberly, Crystal, Wally, and JJ, along with many extended family members and friends.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her grandmother Ruby Virginia Fields who raised her, her grandparents Grandma and Grandpa Chusettes, her sisters Springtime and Ruby, her brother-in-law David, and her loyal dog Mater.
