Edith Georgia (Barrett) Robbins

Edith Georgia (Barrett) Robbins, 85, of Indianapolis, formerly of Bloomington, IN passed away on Wednesday, February 14, 2018.

Edith was born on October 5, 1932 in Bloomington, IN to the late Carl and Sylvia (McConnell) Barrett Allen. She was a material handler for many years with RCA.  Georgia loved the outdoors, she enjoyed fishing but her favorite was camping.  She liked to take walks, especially with her dogs, whom she doted on like they were her children.  She was always pampering them, whether it be going to the groomers or getting their nails painted.  She enjoyed playing cards and going to the casinos.  She liked racing, both cars and horses, and in her younger days she owned a racecar.  She loved her family, and loved being an aunt.  She considered her nieces and nephews her children and treated them accordingly.    Georgia was a woman of strong faith, and had devoted her life to God.  She was a strong women in general, and she will be missed.

Georgia is survived by the love of her life of 65 years, Ralph Robbins; 12 nieces and nephews; many great-nieces and nephews; and many cousins.

In addition to her parents, Georgia is preceded in passing by her siblings, Carl Lucas Jr; Kenneth R Barrett; Jeanie Barrett; Lorretta Dahl; and Mary Sigman. 

Funeral service for Edith will be on Monday February 19th at 2:00 PM at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services.  Family and friends will gather for visitation on Monday from Noon until the hour of the service.  Burial will follow at Floral Park Cemetery.
