Earl Eugene Smith

Earl “Cool Cat” Eugene Smith, 79, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2026.

He was born June 6, 1947, in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Joseph Smith & Bessie Murray. Gene was musically talented, showing off his gifts while singing, dancing, and playing guitar. He was also mechanically gifted having spent time working on and collecting watches.

Gene is survived by his children, Robbin (Steve) Smith, Vickie (Larry) Smith, Earl Smith, Richard (Martti) Smith, and Christopher (Cheryl) Smith; 14 grandchildren, Carrie, Candice, James, Christy, Kimberly, Brittany, Ashley, Earl III, Taylor, Matthew, Trisitin, Olivia, Christopher, and Emma; 22 great grandchildren; and one great-great granddaughter; and brother, Raymond Smith. He was preceded in death by 14 siblings; grandchildren, Zach & Chris; and great grandchildren, Kinsley, Ty, and Gabriel; and the mother of his children, Linda Smith.
