Douglas Floyd Jr Obituary

Douglas Lee Floyd Jr., 39, Indianapolis, passed away December 20, 2024, surrounded by his family and friends. Douglas was born May 23, 1985, in Indianapolis, Indiana, to Douglas Lee Floyd Sr. and Tammie Marie (Caviness) Floyd.

Douglas was a member of Diversity Church North Indy and was a friend to all. His kind and friendly nature were some of his best qualities.

If you knew Doug, you have probably thrown a baseball with him or at least seen him throwing one around with someone else. He also loved to play corn hole.

He has spent this lifetime devoted to caring for his parents. He also loved and adored his nieces and nephews.

Douglas was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan but also loved the Indianapolis Colts. From the time he was a young child, he loved WWE wrestling. Douglas worked on and off for many years at Victory Field as a part of the custodial staff. It goes without saying that he was also a big Indianapolis Indians fan.

He also loved to go to the Indianapolis Speedrome to watch his nephews race.

Douglas was happy anywhere and anytime he was surrounded by his family. He will be fondly remembered for his kindness, unconditional love, and his generosity.

In addition to his parents, Douglas is survived by his sister, Amanda (Eddie) Snapp; brothers, Matthew (Samantha) Floyd and Thomas Emerson; Aunts, Mary (David) Whobrey and Peggie (Pete) Petro; Uncles, David Caviness and Steve Floyd; Nephews, Eddie Snapp, Cameron Snapp, and Levi Redd; Nieces, Kaylee Snapp, Hailey Hawkins, and Angelic Redd; Great niece, Nova Snapp; many cousins and extended family.
