Donnie was born in Gallatin, TN on September 22, 1958 to Robert Hale and Inez.
He was a jack of all trades and worked hanging siding and windows for many years. He was a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He was all about the outdoors. He loved sitting in the sun working on his tan, fishing, and even taking his kids night fishing. He loved mowing his lawn and was proud of how immaculate he kept it. When he was able he loved using a log splitter and selling firewood. That lead him to finding his faithful, spoiled rotten, beloved cat Smokey. He loved all animals but those two shared a special bond.
Donnie was an outstanding guy, he was loved by many. He was a loving husband and a wonderful father, and did whatever was needed to help his family thrive. He wasn’t one to be idle, he often whittled while listening to Willie Nelson, canes being his main subject. He was just someone who cared about others and was a light in the world, and it is dimmer here without him.
Donnie is survived by his loving wife, Shirley Hale; his children Luke (Jennifer Bucholz) Hale, Donna (Allen Smith) Hale, and Carrie (Leroy) Williams; grandchildren Alexius, Bryanna, Anthony (Ricki), Angel, Ally, Addison, Samantha, Jessica, Megan, Elijah (Rebecca), Kristiauna, and Elizabeth; 8 great-grandchildren with one more on the way; his siblings Mike Hale and Elizabeth Summers; and countless nieces and nephews.
Donnie is preceded in passing by his parents: father Robert Hale; his mother Inez; Lois Hale; and 4 of his siblings.
