DeeAnn Mae Edwards

DeeAnn Mae Edwards, 40, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 19, 2022.

DeeAnn was born in Indianapolis, IN on January 15, 1982 to Howard Edwards and Ramona (Lyons) Sapp. DeeAnn had the amazing ability to brighten any room she walked in. She was the type of person her mere presence made things better for those around her.  She was a blast in a glass, and the life of any party.  DeeAnn was always herself, she didn't put on airs and she never cared what others thought of her.  You knew she was coming because you heard her well before you saw her.  

DeeAnn was a strong woman, a trait she shared with her mother. She was a single mom who worked hard to make whatever her kids wanted happen.  She was an amazing daughter, the rock for her family and she was always there when they needed her. DeeAnn went to bat for her kids, and messing with them was a mistake that wasn't often repeated.  She was definitely mischievous and sneaky as a teenager, whether it was pulling a fast one on her parents as to her whereabouts to thieving clothes from her mothers closet.  DeeAnn was an amazing person who will be missed by those lucky enough to know her.

DeeAnn is survived by her children Abigail and Logan; her mother Ramona Sapp; her father Howard Edwards; her siblings Lori and Sabrina; her uncle Roy; her aunt Ruthie; the godparents to her children Penny and Tom;  many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews; and countless friends. 

DeeAnn is preceded in passing by her sister Candy and her grandparents Nora and James Neal.

Services for DeeAnn will be 7 PM, Friday, March 4, 2022 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services. Visitation will be from 4PM until the hour of service.
