Deborah "Deb" Lynn Tompkins, a woman of resilience and creativity, passed away on August 12, 2023. Born on July 24, 1959, in Indianapolis, IN, to William C and Dola E (Conner) Tompkins, her life was marked by her tenacity, her passions, and her love for the furry companions that brought her joy.
Deb's hands were skilled in the art of crochet, weaving threads into beautiful creations that not only adorned her surroundings but also brought warmth and comfort to those lucky enough to receive her handmade gifts.
In her youth, Deb's spirit led her to the world of motorcycles, where she embraced the thrill of the open road and the sense of freedom that came with it. Her adventurous spirit manifested in her love for the outdoors and the open air, a quality that resonated with those who knew her.
Deb possessed a unique gift – the ability to ignite laughter in those around her. With a quick wit and a keen sense of humor, she had an infectious laugh that could brighten even the darkest of days.
Life's challenges never deterred Deb from pursuing what truly mattered. Her determination and perseverance were unwavering, serving as an inspiration to those who witnessed her journey. She faced difficulties head-on, finding strength within herself to overcome obstacles and achieve what she set her mind to.
Her love extended to the animal companions that shared her home. Dogs and cats held a special place in her heart, and her loyalty to them was unwavering. Her beloved dog, Jesse, was not just a pet but a cherished member of her family, a source of comfort and companionship that brought her immeasurable joy.
Deb is survived by her brother, Anthony (Cathy) Tompkins; and 3 nieces and a nephew.
A memorial service will be held on Sunday, August 27, 2023, from 2-5 PM at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services, providing an opportunity for us to come together, share stories, and honor the memory of Deb.
