Deborah "Deb" Herrera (Clarke), 68, passed away peacefully on January 2, 2025, at St. Francis Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana, surrounded by her children, sisters, and grandchildren. Born on January 24, 1956, to William Garfield Clarke and Mary Margaret Clarke, Deborah was the second of three daughters.
A kind and gentle soul, Deborah cherished her family deeply and had a special love for animals. Her warmth and compassion extended beyond her personal life into her professional career. She dedicated 14 years of service to St. Francis Hospital before retiring, leaving behind a legacy of care and kindness that touched the lives of many.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, William and Mary Margaret Clarke, as well as her nephew Jeremy Clarke. She is survived by her loving children, Jennifer Huffman (Jimi Hodge) and David Herrera; her devoted sisters, Kathy Stambaugh and Beverly Day; and her cherished grandchildren: Saori Herrera, Anna Herrera, Dema Joy, Kaden Gabbard (Alexa Donoghue), Trenton Sanders (Marissa Gallagher), and Dawson Wolfe (Stephanie Ray). She also leaves behind her nephew Joshua Clarke (Liz Clarke), great-nephews Corbin Clarke (Haley Clarke) and Jeremy Clarke, great-nieces Allie Froehlke (Jacob Froehlke), Abby Clarke (Mason Fox), and Bailey Delagrange (Allen Delagrange), as well as many beloved great-great-nieces and nephews.
Deborah's warmth and kindness left an indelible mark on all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family and friends. May her legacy bring comfort to those she leaves behind.
