It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Darin Lee Turpin, age 59, who left us on Saturday, May 18, 2024. Darin was born on November 28, 1964, to Oscar and Barbara (Wildman) Turpin.
Darin was a man who brought joy and laughter wherever he went. Known for his goofy sense of humor and infectious smile, he had a unique ability to lighten the mood and make everyone around him have a good time. Though he could be a bit much at times, his playful antics and genuine warmth endeared him to many.
An avid fisherman, Darin found peace on the water, where he spent countless hours enjoying the serenity of nature. His passion for fishing was matched only by his love for working on cars, a hobby that allowed him to tinker and create with his hands.
Darin was a dedicated fan of the Indianapolis Colts, he caught as many games as he could. But above all, he cherished his role as a grandpa. His grandchildren, Mitchell, Keith, Miranda, Nevaeh, Georgia, and China, were the light of his life, and he adored spending time with them.
Darin is survived by his beloved daughter and son-in-law Leann & James Hull; and his fiancée Iris, who brought much happiness to his later years. He leaves behind his siblings Kevin and Brenda, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends who will miss his mischievous spirit.
Darin was preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Barbara Turpin, and his siblings Shiela, Marsha, Lorena, and Brian.
In remembering Darin, we celebrate a life well-lived, full of laughter, love, and a deep connection to the simple joys of fishing, family, and friendship. May his memory bring comfort and a smile to all who knew him.
