It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Danny Colegrove, who departed this world on Friday, November 24, 2023, at the age of 52. Born on October 6, 1971, to Denver and Shirley Colegrove, Danny's life was a testament to hard work, sociability, and a deep passion for family and his favorite pastimes.
For many years, Danny dedicated himself to the meticulous task of cleaning and resetting houses, ensuring a welcoming environment for the next tenants. His commitment to this work reflected his conscientious and caring nature, leaving a lasting impact on the homes he touched.
Known for his social spirit, Danny was a people person who enjoyed engaging with others. He found joy in shared moments and appreciated the camaraderie of friends and family. A man of diverse interests, Danny was an avid fan of the Washington Redskins and held a deep admiration for the legendary Johnny Cash. His favorite color, fittingly, was black, mirroring the soulful melodies that resonated with him.
Beyond his hobbies, Danny found pleasure in the thrill of the horse track, but nothing brought him greater joy than being a grandpa. A loving and devoted father, Danny cherished his daughters. His love for them extended to his grandchildren, who were the source of immeasurable joy in his life.
Danny is survived by his daughters, Paige and Cara (Derrick), girlfriend Teresa, his brother Keith and sister-in-law Maude, his sister Lisa, grandkids Caylee, Derrick, and Delias and a host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. Together, they mourn the loss of a man whose kindness and warmth touched many lives.
He is preceded in passing by his parents Denver and Shirley Colegrove, his brothers Denver Lee and David, and his sisters Alita and Rita. As we remember Danny, let us cherish the memories of a good dad, a loyal friend, and a man who found beauty in the simple joys of life.
