Daniel “DJ” James Senteney II, 45, of Indianapolis, passed away on May 2, 2025.
DJ was born in Indianapolis, IN, on July 11, 1979, to Daniel James and Kathy (Brown) Senteney.
He was stubborn—oh, was he stubborn. DJ could turn arguing into an art form, and he always thought he was right. He didn’t take losing at cards very well and rarely, if ever, wore sleeves unless absolutely necessary. He loved playing games on his phone and spending time at the race track.
DJ was a hard worker and could always be counted on. He knew just about everything there was to know about construction and was especially known for his skill in flooring. He was always willing to lend a hand and made sure everyone around him was taken care of before himself. He was a great cook, and his cheesy bacon potatoes were legendary.
Above all, DJ loved his family. Being a grandpa brought him so much joy, and he cherished his grandbabies. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.
DJ is survived by his wife, Holly; his children William, Paige, Christine, Cierra, Daniel, Neveah, and JD; his siblings Candy, Lisa, Judy, and Tony; many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
He is preceded in passing by his parents, Daniel and Kathy Senteney, and his sister Christine.
