Daniel Allen Wise

Daniel Allen Wise, of Indianapolis, passed away on October 3, 2024. Born in Indianapolis on August 12, 1957, to Rebecca (Wise) Thomas, Daniel spent his life in the city he loved, working for many years as a detailer at Shadeland Dodge.

Daniel was truly one of a kind. He had a deep love for music, spending countless hours jamming to the Beatles and Phil Collins. His days often started with coffee and ended with a cold beer, as he found joy in life’s simple pleasures. A NASCAR enthusiast, Daniel never missed a race and could often be found with a deck of cards in hand, ready for a game with friends.

When it came to movies, Daniel wasn’t shy about his favorites—whether it was a cartoon or an action flick. Spaceballs stood out as his all-time favorite, a movie he enjoyed so much that he could watch it on repeat without hesitation.

Known for his legendary stubbornness, Daniel had a way of pushing people’s buttons, but underneath that tough exterior was a heart of gold. He was a man you could rely on, always willing to lend a hand when needed. His big heart and unwavering support made him beloved by so many.

Daniel is survived by his loving wife, Dora Wise; his children, Leeann Wise and Daniel Wise Jr.; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his mother, Rebecca Thomas.
