Curtis Beal Obituary

Curtis Beal, 72, of Indianapolis, passed away on September 3, 2024.

Born on August 6, 1952, in Indianapolis, IN, Curtis was the son of the late Melvin Beal and Patricia (Abel) Beal-Rowland. He graduated from Lawrence Central High School and went on to obtain his Electrician license. An avid sports enthusiast, Curtis played football during his high school years and maintained his passion for sports throughout his life. A devoted Colts fan, he rarely missed a game and loved taking his daughters to watch the Indianapolis Indians play during their youth.

Curtis had a deep appreciation for the outdoors, particularly enjoying fishing as a peaceful retreat. He also had a knack for gardening, showcasing his green thumb with pride. Known for his humor and vibrant personality, he was often the life of the party. Curtis had a close bond with his brother Scotty, and they frequently collaborated on various projects, always ready to help each other out.

He is survived by his daughters, Renee (Emily) Beal-Slavens and Tracy Beal; granddaughter Presley Slavens; sisters Brenda Cockrell and Joy Travis; brothers Dennis Beal and H. Scott Rowland; the Everman-Lawrence family, whom he shared a close bond with; along with many nieces, nephews, and friends.

In addition to his parents, Curtis was preceded in death by his brother Donald Beal.
