Claude “Boogie” David Deane Jr., 43, of Indianapolis, passed away on April 21, 2025.
Boogie was born in Indianapolis, IN, on October 11, 1981, to Claude Deane Sr. and Judy Kelley. He was an incredibly hard worker—he held down two jobs as a forklift operator, and he was great at what he did. Boogie loved sports and rarely missed a Colts game. He also enjoyed baseball, especially cheering on the Chicago Cubs.
He was always up for a trip to an amusement park or a themed event, loved traveling, and never turned down a good meal. Dining out and spending time with his family were some of his favorite things. Boogie was dependable—you could always count on him to show up and support the people he loved. He made sure everyone around him knew how much they meant to him. He will be deeply missed.
Boogie is survived by the love of his life of 25 years, Elizabeth Smith; his children Taylor, Nathaniel, and Colton; his father Claude (Donna) Deane Sr.; and his siblings Paul, Josh, Matt, Sammie, Jamie, Ashley, and Kristina; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
Boogie is preceded in passing by his mother, Judy Kelley.
