Charlotte “Deenie” Tate, 84, passed away January 19, 2021 surrounded by family. She was born in 1936 in Lansing, MI to Charles Bates and Margaret (Bennett) Bates. She is survived by her loving husband of 66 years, Robert “Bob” Tate, daughters Margy Propes (Dwayne) and Candy Turner (Terry), 6 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
Deenie was a beautician in Broad Ripple for over 50 years. She loved to travel, camp, cook, and spend time with her family. Deenie and Bob especially enjoyed bowling and spent a lot of their free time at Woodland Bowl improving their game.
After raising her family in Indianapolis, Deenie and Bob moved to Manatee RV Park in Ruskin, FL where they lived for 20 years. They moved back to McCordsville, IN in 2018.
Deenie was preceded in death by her parents, sister Betty (Bud) Humphries and daughter Charree Tate.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday February 6th from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the American Legion Post 391 located at 207 S. Merrill St., Fortville, IN 46040.
