Carol Jean Wade, 81, of Indianapolis, passed away on June 14, 2021.
Carol was born on September 21, 1939 in Beech Grove to William Henry and Mary Josephine (Camden) Robertson. Carol was a homemaker and dedicated her life to her family. Her greatest joys were spending time with them, especially her grandchildren once they came along. Family reunions, picnics, and get togethers were where she was her happiest. Carol was the matriarch of the family, the foundation that held them altogether. She said the joy of grandchildren was the ability to spoil them and then give them back to their parents, but the joke was always on her in that they never wanted to leave (she loved every moment of it!). Carol was kind-hearted and giving, the type of person to take the shirt off her own back to help someone else. She was outgoing and a good confident, the person you went to when you needed an ear to listen and a cheerleader to boister your spirits. But heaven help you if you ignited her temper, because no one else sure would risk her wrath being directed at them.
Carol was tough and a fighter, she fought many health conditions all her life and never gave up or let it slow her down. She enjoyed long drives and the Hallmark Channel was her guilty pleasure. White Christmas by Bing Crosby was her favorite song and Christmastime her favorite time of year. Country music and bluegrass were her jam preferences and John Wayne her favorite actor. Red and pink roses were her favorite flowers.
Carol is survived by her children Rose M Wade, Rhonda J Faccone, Adam F (Chris) Wade, and Cynthia L Carrington; her grandchildren Marie (Gele), Heather (Ashton), Brittany, Tye, and Troy; her great-grandchildren Xander, Vincent, Chris, Nevada, and Sam; her bonus grandson Randall; her great-great grandson Elyas; her special relatives Martha, Donna, and Joy; and many nieces and nephews.
Carol is preceded in passing by her husband Ronald F Wade; her parents Henry and Mary Robertson; her great-great grandson Jaxon; special relative Dennis; and she was the last of her siblings to join them in heaven.
