Brian Caton Obituary

Brian “BOOBMAN” Caton, 65, of Indianapolis, passed away on January 28, 2025.

Boobman was born in Terre Haute, IN on January 28, 1959 to Earl Keith Caton and Karen (Kelm) Adkerson.  Boobman was a badass mechanic, who could fix anything.  When cars started getting smart, he drug his ass to Lincoln Tech and graduated in ’97, even more talented than when he went in, if that were possible.  He could build a car from the frame up, but couldn’t set the clock, a task he always called in his son B-Cup for.  Boobman had a gift for teaching, and whenever someone asked him for help – especially on vehicles – he was more of a “walk you through it” than doing it for you.  He wanted to be sure that his loved ones could be self-sufficient as possible and never rely on anyone else.

Boobman was never one to sit still, he was always on the move, always up for an adventure.  He was always entertaining people and often ran the room, even if he really wasn’t up for it. His half effort was better than some people’s full ones.  The man had zero filter and before you could tell him NOT to say it, it’s already left his mouth. He was enthusiastic about his passions and was always down to go fishing.

Boobman was very much beloved, especially by his family.  He went by many names, whether “Poppy” to the older grandchildren, “Papaw” to the youngers, and “Boobie” to the bonus ones; he loved them all.  He was very dependable and always there when you needed him. He will be greatly missed.

Boobman is survived by his children Keith “B-Cup” Caton, Katie Sosbe, Brian, Brent, Brandon Frye, and Angie Caton; his fiancé Tammy Frye; grandchildren Wyatt Keith, Aaron Thomas, Emmajen Rosa-Lynn; Addison, Bryce, Baron, and Audra; his sister Kandi Harris-Pauley; his uncle Dan; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members, and countless friends.

Boobman is preceded in passing by his father Keith Caton; his mother Karen Adkerson; his sister Karry Caton; and his brother William “Tiger” Caton.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the family’s convience on a later date.
