Bonnie Kathryn (Day) Woodruff

Bonnie Kathryn Woodruff, 75, of Indianapolis, passed away on February 7, 2020.

Bonnie was born in Indianapolis, IN on February 4, 1945 to Ferdinand Jack Day and Norma Jean (Smith) Havely.  Bonnie was known as the "Crazy Lady" in her family, a title that was hard won and that she adored.  When it came to her family, she loved them like crazy.  She loved having people over, and being a good host.  She threw the best Holiday Parties, and Christmas was her favorite.  Even in her later years when she was in senior living she got together a committee of residents to throw a party for each holiday.  She was a great baker and her Pumpkin Pie and Zucchini Bread were family favorites. 

Bonnie enjoyed being active, and going out to do things.  In her younger years she enjoyed dancing, but as she grew older darts, pool, and bowling were more her speed.  

Above everything, Bonnie loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.  She like taking them to the park, and to go swimming.  Weekend trips were also a favorite of hers, especially to Brown County and Nashville, IN.  She was a whole lot of fun, and even though she was only 4'11, she had a 6' attitude.  She will be missed.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Julia Couch and David Brumley; her grandchildren Michael Fayette (Victoria), Jeffery Fayette, David Brumley, Shelby Webb, Ashley (Adam) Pontani, Devin Woodruff, and Ciara Cook; her great-grandchildren Seth, Elizabeth, Matthew, Hunter, Stetson, Jordan, Lucy, Lola, and Chance; her siblings Theresa (John) Kidd, Ronnie, David, Roslyn, Billy, and Sandy; and many nieces, nephews, and great-nieces, and great-nephews.

Bonnie is preceded in passing by her children Cindy Day and Kenneth Woodruff; her father Ferdinand Day; and her mother Norma Havely.

Funeral Services for Bonnie will be 1 PM, Saturday, February 15, 2020 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services.  Visitation will be from 11 AM until the hour of service.
