Barbara Thomas, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, peacefully departed from this world on August 19, 2023. Born on December 11, 1951, she brought light and love to all who had the privilege of knowing her.

Barbara's life was marked by a rich tapestry of interests and passions. The melodic tunes of the Beatles held a special place in her heart, reminding her of the beauty in life's simplest moments. She found solace and creativity in knitting and crochet, weaving her warmth and care into every stitch she made.

Her high school days saw her shining brightly as a drum majorette at Morristown High School, leaving a legacy of dedication and artistry. For 11 years, Barbara brought her vibrant personality and warm smile to Chi-Chi's as a waitress and server, a testament to her enduring work ethic and dedication to serving others.

A lover of challenges, Barbara found joy in solving sudokus and immersing herself in the virtual world of cafe games. Her curiosity and thirst for new experiences defined her life's journey.

Barbara's legacy of love and devotion will forever resonate in the hearts of those she leaves behind. She is survived by her devoted husband, Glenn Thomas, who shared a lifetime of cherished memories with her. Her children, Martti (Richard), Christine (Thomas), and Erica (Chad), hold dear the lessons and values she instilled in them, and her brother Gary (Darlene) and sister Marsha "Diane."

Barbara's spirit continues to shine through her beloved grandchildren, Tristin (Christian), Morgan (Bailey), Briahna (Kyle), Michael, Emily, Brooke, Elaina, and Delaney, who will forever carry her love forward. She was also blessed to welcome great-grandchildren Railynne and Everleigh into her heart.

Her extended family members and friends remember her fondly for the joy she brought to their lives. Barbara is preceded in passing by her parents, Barbara "Jean" and Leonard Doss

Services For Barbara will be held Thursday, August 24 at Fountain Square Cremation and Funeral Services, 1420 Prospect St, Indianapolis, IN 46203

Visitation will be from 5-7PM, with a funeral service at 7PM
