Aviel Cedillo Ruiz, age 56, of Indianapolis, and formerly of Victoria Tamaulipas, Mexico, passed away on November 6, 2023. He was born in Victoria Tamaulipas, Mexico, on April 2, 1967, to his parents, Regina Ruiz and Juan Cedillo.
Aviel was a true giver and the peacemaker of his family. His infectious smile could light up any room, and he approached life with a warm and generous heart. Aviel found joy in the simple pleasures of fishing and hunting, particularly deer hunting, where he felt a special connection with nature.
Being a grandpa and father brought immense happiness to Aviel, and he embraced these roles with love and dedication. He was known as a great dad, always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His compassionate and caring nature extended to every aspect of his life, making him a beloved figure in his family and community.
Aviel is survived by his loving wife, Jana Thames, his children Amber Fuller and Stormy Thames, and his granddaughter, Freya. He is also survived by his siblings Martin, Juan, Ruben, Maria, Sol, Ana, Carmen, and Missael, his mother-in-law Marybeth Graham, and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in passing by his parents, Regina Ruiz and Juan Cedillo, and his brother, Rodrigo.
Aviel Cedillo Ruiz's legacy is one of love, warmth, and kindness. He will be deeply missed, and his memory will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know him. His contributions to his family and his community, along with his love for the outdoors, will be cherished and remembered with fondness.
