Arthur Linwood Buntain, 74, of Shelbyville, Kentucky, passed away at his Indianapolis residence on June 2, 2024.
Arthur was truly one of a kind. With more lives than a cat and a stubbornness that could rival a mule, he was the steadfast rock of the family. Arthur was the go-to person for anyone in need of a listening ear and solid advice. Always dependable and ever ready to lend a hand, he found joy in helping others. A proud Vietnam veteran, he carried the bearing of a soldier throughout his life, embodying strength and honor.
Arthur is survived by his beloved wife, Debra Buntain; his cherished children, Lanny Buntain and Danny Buntain; and his adored grandchildren, Kalia, Kacie, Nichole, Jeffrey, Leeann, Lanny Jr., Mary, George, Daniel, and Naomi. His legacy continues through his great-grandchildren, Desmond, Poo, Camariyon, JJ, Cody, Nae, Si, and Neveah. He is also survived by his dear brother Larry Buntain, along with numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss him deeply.
He was preceded in passing by his loving mother, Cora Edith Buntain; his devoted father, William Winford Buntain; his siblings, David Buntain, Lois Buntain, and Brenda Buntain; his precious daughter, Tammy Botkins; and his daughter-in-law, Stephanie Collins-Buntain.
Arthur's unwavering strength, dependable nature, and generous spirit have left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him. His memory will be forever cherished by his family and friends.
