In Loving Memory
What’s in a tear that dares to fall, a whisper soft. Yet speaks it all? Not water merely from the eye, but oceans deep we passerby. May never glimpse or truly hear-the hidden voice within a tear. A tear can hold what words betray. The ache we feel but cannot say. It carries joy, it carries pain. The echo of a long-lost name. A silent grief, a bursting cheer-so much is wrapped within a tear. It falls for a love that couldn’t stay, for dreams that slowly slipped away. It weeps for hope when none’s in sight yet glimmers still in morning light. It stains the cheek, then disappears-yet marks the soul for countless years.
A child’s first cry, a mother’s grace, the tremble in a father’s face. The war within, the wounds we bear. The weight of simply being there. Each drop of a prayer, a truth sincere, that’s what lives within a tear. It’s raining heaven from human skies; it’s proof that even strength still cries.
Almighty God, we rejoice in your promise of love, joy and peace. In your Mercy turn the darkness of death into the dawn of new life, and the sorrow of parting into the joy of heaven: through our Savior Jesus Christ
