Alice Gordon Obituary

Alice E. Gordon, born August 10, 1961, in Kansas City, Missouri, embarked on a remarkable journey filled with love, resilience, and unwavering strength. Her early years were shaped by life at Marine Corps Camp Lejeune in Jackson, North Carolina, where alongside her siblings and beloved stepfather, she cultivated enduring bonds that would shape her character.

Alice's path took a pivotal turn when her family returned to Kansas City, where she attended Van Horn High School. It was here that she encountered Keith Lane Sr., the love of her life. Their connection was instant and profound, leading to a life together that embraced the challenges and adventures brought by Keith Sr.'s military service in the Army. Their journey together took them across the country, leaving lasting imprints in places like Texas, where their son Robert was born.

Settling back in Kansas City after Keith Sr.'s military career, Alice found her professional calling with the IRS, where her meticulous nature and sharp mind shone brightly in auditing accounts. Her pursuit of knowledge led her to Wright College, where she pursued an accounting certificate, a testament to her dedication and intellectual curiosity.

Alice's life was not without its challenges. She bravely confronted mental health issues at a time when understanding and support were scarce. Yet, through every trial, she exhibited extraordinary resilience, embodying the spirit of a fighter and a lover of life. Her innate compassion and selflessness touched everyone she encountered. Alice was known for extending a helping hand, even in times of personal struggle, a testament to her boundless generosity and unwavering spirit.

Alice E. Gordon's legacy is one of love and strength, cherished by her devoted family: her children Keith, Robert, Bruce, William, and Wayne, who she adored as her precious "baby." She is also fondly remembered by her siblings Pam, Connie, David, Robert, Pamella, Purcell and Gaylord, whose lives she enriched with her love and warmth.

In the hearts of all who knew her, Alice's spirit remains an enduring beacon of hope and inspiration. Her journey may have had its twists and turns, but her legacy of love and resilience will continue to shine brightly, a testament to a life well-lived and deeply cherished.
