Willie Thomas Atkinson, 60, passed away on Tuesday, January 2, 2018.  

Willie Thomas Atkinson was born on June 24, 1957 in Clarksville Tennessee to the parents of Thomas and Alma Atkinson. His father preceded him in death

Willie later moved to Elkhart, Indiana where he was adopted by Ellen Elanor Kimbrough.  Willie graduated from Elkhart Central High School in 1976. Ellen was the light of his life, and brought the greatest joy to his heart.

Willie was taken under the wings of Doris & Jean Danner.  Because of the friendship of Doris, and Ellen. Doris became the father figure Willie longed for in his life.  They were almost inseparable. Willie worked with Doris Danner in the lawn care business for most of his young and adult life.  Willie was the person in the neighborhood who helped anybody with any odd jobs they needed done.  He touched many people with his warm smile , and caring heart.  Along with his love of the lawn care service with Mr. Danner, Willie also worked for Polygram Records for many years.

Willie touched many lives and families, during his journey.  He leaves to cherish these memories his mother Alma Atkinson, sister, Ann Atkinson as well as a brother in Illinois, many others whom were considered to be brothers and sisters to him.  These families include the Kimbrough Family, Danner Family, Porter Family, Moore Family, Brown Family, Ivory Family, Cunningham Family, Coleman Family, and Robinson Family

Funeral Service for Willie will be 1PM, Saturday, January 13, 2018 at Fountain Square Cremation & Funeral Services.  Visitation will be from 12PM until the hour of service.
