Vena Iola Carpenter, 84, of Indianapolis, passed away Monday, August 14, 2017.  Vena was born on April 23, 1933 in Calhoun, MI to the late Mabel (Showers) Delaney.  Vena owned a bar for many years.  She was very smart and liked to read, she collected books.  She was a romantic.  She liked going to auctions.  She liked her milkshakes and hot fudge sundaes.  

Vena is survived by her nieces and nephews Penny Archie, Judy Ryan, and Jimmy Delaney; her great-nieces and nephews Erica Monroe, Debbie Garhartt, Tammy Wadlington, Amber Barker, Earl Barker, Norman Barker, Emily Archie, and Amanda Wray; and many many great-great-nieces and nephews.
